Over 1000 members of the dreaded Islamist group, Boko Haram have been arrested in the South-West, according to the Sarkin Hausawa of Lagos, Alhaji Sani Kabir.
According to Vanguard, Sarkin Hausawa of Lagos, Alhaji Sani Kabir, yesterday, told the Federal Government that northerners in the South West arrested the Boko Haram members saying the arrests were made at different times.
Alhaji Kabir while speaking during the visit of the Arewa Council of Chiefs in the South West to the Minister of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Alhaji Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, SAN, in the Minister’s office, said those arrested were Boko Haram members who fled from the Civilian JTF/military fierce battle on the sect in the North-East.
He also stated among those arrested where the ones who came to the South West to continue their havoc.
