Bomb blast Rocks 5 & injures several others at bus station in Bauchi

A bomb blast has been reported to have occurred in a popular bus station in Azare area of Bauchi State, leaving scores of people dead.

There was a bomb explosion at a bus station in Azare town in Bauchi state late last night, which killed at least five people and wounded at least 12 people. It was a suicide bomber, suspected to be a member of Boko Haram.
Vanguard reports that the blast appears to be the latest breach in the alleged ceasefire agreement entered with the terrorists group, Boko Haram.

A resident of the town, who gave his name as Musa Babale, said: “We had a huge blast at exactly 9:45 pm (2045 GMT). We realised it had come from the bus station. The whole place was a mess,” he said.
However, several calls made to the spokesman of the police and military for comments were not answered but Mauzu Ibrahim, another resident of the attacked area near the Kano road revealed that security operatives have cordoned off the scene.
“We found the place cordoned off by soldiers and police. From where I stood I saw bodies being put in a van,” Ibrahim said.
