Two years ago, Justin Bieber was very publicly embarrassed for his obvious lack of education when he referred to the Sistine Chapel as 'the 16th Chapel' on The Late Show With David Letterman.
So with the popstar currently living it up with his father, Jeremy, and his entourage of burly bodyguards in Rome, Italy, he decided to go directly to the source in order to brush up on his history, with the Sistine Chapel among a number of tourist spots visited on Wednesday.
And trust the Biebs to do it in style, reportedly dropping a whopping 20,000 Euros for a private after-hours tour of Vatican City, taking in the Pope's official residence as well as the Vatican Museums.

But while the star's tour may have given him an understanding of Letterman's reference to its elaborate artworks covering the walls and ceilings - which he compared to the star's growing tattoo collection - it seems he's still not up on the protocol.
Not only was the 20-year-old dressed down in very casual attire that left his tattoo sleeves on display, but he reportedly rubbed employees up the wrong way when he disrespectfully began kicking a ball around in the corridors of the historic building
Certainly proving that money can't buy taste or good manners, Justin's behaviour left a lot to be desired - though it was not all that surprising judging by his previous misdemeanours, which include urinating in a mop bucket in a hotel kitchen and egging his neighbour's house, among others.
During their outing, the group also reportedly spent time checking out the Roman Forum and the Colosseum, making the most of their time in the city by hitting up all the tourist spots in one go.

Disrespectful: The pair's choice of casual attire left much to be desired, their uncovered tattoo sleeves not exactly appropriate for visiting such sacred places as the Sistine Chapel and the Vatican Museums

While Biebs was dressed down in long black Adidas shorts with white stripes down the sides and a plain black tee, paired with red and black tartan sneakers and with a baseball cap over his much-copied mane, his dad was even more casual in his appearance.
The 39-year-old donned bright red LA Clippers shorts with white leg stripes and a long tight white tank top, teamed with white Gucci sneakers featuring their signature red and green stripe design.
He too wore a cap and aviators and accessorised with a long necklace, while he wrapped a white T-shirt around his neck.

The pair, who could pass for brothers, were flanked by a team of security, who gave off a very thuggish vibe as they towered over their charges, ensuring they weren't disturbed during the outing.
Indeed, Jeremy seemed to make light of their appearance as he tweeted: 'Once a thug always a thug....'
Justin looked none too impressed as he schlepped around the city, his head down and with sunglasses shielding his eyes.
Say cheese! Dad Jeremy also got in on the act, appearing to take a photo of his son who was busy trying to capture the perfect selfie with his face bathed in sunlight

Perhaps it is in part due to the fact that his tumultuous on-off relationship with Selena Gomez is off once more, with the 22-year-old breaking up with her beau after he lied to her and hung out with her frenemy Kendall Jenner behind her back.
Trying to take his mind off it, he's been enjoying a guys' only European vacation with his dad, the pair living it up in Italy.
'Today we explore this ancient world #blessed,' Jeremy tweeted on Wednesday as they headed out by foot to soak up the historic sights.

Not in front of a man of the cloth! One of the popstar's muscle men was in fine form, yelling aggressively at onlookers who got too close despite being in the presence of a priest, though Biebs appeared to take it all in his stride

During the day, the singer was spotted picking up souvenirs from a small tourist store, where he reportedly purchased a Roma football jersey as well as the offending ball in question.
The following day, it was all about rest and relaxation for the star, who posted a photo to his Shots account looking a little worn out and with a white sweatband holding his floppy hair back from his face following a basketball game.
'Just played ball in Rome #numerouno (sic),' he captioned the snap.
Jeremy, meanwhile, later went on to tweet, 'Gladiator time', with the group presumably heading off to indulge their love of fighting to watch a fun battle reenactment.
