According to a statement made public on Friday by PDP National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh, all primaries in Adamawa State would be conducted in Abuja beginning from Sunday, December 7, 2014.
Metuh also announced that the Anambra National Assembly primaries, earlier scheduled for Saturday, December 6, 2014 had been postponed.
Meanwhile, all the major stakeholders in Borno and Yobe states have been invited to a crucial meeting at the National Secretariat of the PDP in Abuja on Saturday.
It was disclosed that while stakeholders from Borno were to meet with PDP’s NWC at 12 noon, those from Yobe would meet with the party leadership at 2pm on the same day.
Recalled that a group known as Kebbi South Forum has threatened to disrupt PDP governorship primaries slated for December 8, 2014, in Kebbi state.
The threat was contained in a letter dated December 2, 2014, signed by Haliru Umar and Bala Manga, general and organising secretaries respectively, a copy obtained by the Leadership on Thursday.
It would be recalled that four people were reportedly killed on Tuesday following the outcome of the All Progressive Congress, APC, House of Assembly primary held at Apena area of Mainland Constituency 1 of Lagos Mainland Local Government.
The main opposition party conducted its primary election nationwide on Thursday to elect the party’s governorship candidates in the 2015 election.
