Breaking News : 24 Hours Curfew Imposed In Damaturu Yobe State

A day Curfew has been imposed following Monday’s attacks by dreaded Islamic sect, Boko Haram insurgents on Damaturu.
The 24-hour curfew was imposed on the Yobe State capital to calm tension in the state.
This was announced in a statement signed by the Special Adviser to the state Governor on Press Affairs and Information, Alhaji Abdullahi Bego, today

According to bego, Governor Ibrahim Gaidam approved the order in consultations with heads of law enforcement agencies in the state and the curfew is to take effect immediately.
Bego also said the decision was taken as part of measures to enable the security agents who did a great job repelling the insurgents attack on the town, to conclude their ongoing assignment.
The residents of the city were also advised to remain indoors through our the hours of the curfew.
