This disclosure was made moments ago by the Supervising Minister of Information, Nurudeen Mohammed.
Though details of the news are still being expected, it would however be a good news to many federal workers across the country as they prepare to observe January 1 and 2 as public holidays to celebrate the new year and Eid el Maloud.
The Minister of Interior, Abba Moro, while declaring the two days as public holidays, wished all Muslim faithful and Nigerian a peaceful celebration.
It would be recalled that Civil servants in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) had last week complained about the inability of the Federal Government to pay them their November and December salaries.
They lamented that it would negatively affect the Christmas and New Year celebrations.
This was after the Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala gave an assurance that the three months’ salaries of civil servants of some Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDA) would be paid before Christmas.
