quick response of the agency prevented the fire from escalating. He said,
“The Ikeja fire station responded with 10,000 litres of water after we
got an alert around 11pm. The fire started from where the company
processes disused foams and destroyed two vehicles.”When our
correspondent contacted the company’s response centre on Thursday, an
official who did not give his name, promised to call back, but had yet
to do so as of press time.In another development, a
two- storey building on Agboju, Amuwo Odofin, was ravaged by fire on
Thursday afternoon.A resident, Mr. Tony Osueke, said, “The fire was
caused by an electrical surge. I lost all my property, including my
school certificates. I don’t know where to go from here. We came out
with nothing, except the clothes we were putting on.”
