Fed. Govt. Declares Friday And Monday Public Holidays



The Nigerian authorities declared April 3, Friday, and April 6, Monday, public holidays.
The holidays are to mark the Good Friday and Easter Monday celebrations, NAN reports with reference to the official statement. Abba Moro, the Minister of Interior, represented by Abubakar Magaji, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, enjoined all Christians and Nigerians in general to manifest the spiritual benefits of the Easter celebrations in their daily living. Moro noted that such benefits include love, peace, justice and kindness. Additionally, he urged people to use the occasion to pray for peace and unity in Nigeria.
