Kastina College Of Education Provost Abducted In Benue

Some gunmen have abducted the Provost of the College of Education, Kastina/Ala, in Benue State, Dr Hans Senwua. PUNCH Metro gathered that Senwua was taken away on Tuesday at gunpoint from his resident by his yet-to-be-identified captors. It was further gathered that students of the college, on getting the information, went on a rampage and grounded commercial activities. A source, who gave his name simply as Shima, said the students took to the streets, burning tyres as well as throwing stones at the houses of notable politicians, including the house of the state Governor, Gabriel
Suswam. He said, “Some people came to abduct our Provost, Dr. Senwua. It shows the lack of security in the state. So our protest is to remind the authorities of the insecurity in Benue State, as well as make them to do everything possible to rescue him. "The Police Public Relations Officer, Ezeani Austin, confirmed the abduction. He said, “The Provost of the College of Education, Dr. Hans Senwua, has been abducted. We are working hard to secure his release.”
