Let justice prevail in Benue, Tsav tells APC leaders

A former Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, Abubakar Tsav, wants the All Progressives Congress, APC, to allow justice to prevail in the ongoing tussle over the recent governorship election in the state. Tsav, in a statement issued, yesterday, also warned traditional rulers and clerics in the state to stop moves that could pervert the cause of justice. The erstwhile police chief’s statement came on the heels of a letter written to a national leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, by
a member of the party, Tor Gowon Yaro, drawing his attention to the crisis that is threatening to rob APC of its electoral victory in the state. It was gathered that because of the dispute on who the authentic candidate of APC is and the court case instituted by Jime, Senator JKN Waku, and Prof Steve Ugbah at the Federal High Court, Abuja in suit number FHC/ABJ/ CS/1057/14, the PDP had about two weeks ago gone to the Benue governorship election petition tribunal in Makurdi to abort the inauguration of Governor-elect Samuel Ortom on May 29.
