Following the fight that broke out on the floor of the House of Representatives today, Speaker of the House, Yakubu Dogara, has adjourned plenary till July 21 2015.
Before the adjournment, he appealed to members to shun any act that would be inimical to the reputation and unity of the House. Pandemonium broke out when the Speaker, Yakubu Dogara was
about commencing the business of the day. Many of the representatives were shielding Speaker, Yakubu Dogara and chanting: Dogara! Dogara!!
Others are chanting APC! APC!! and stressing party supremacy
Some members had attempted to remove the mace but were wrestled off by Dogara’s supporters.
It was however learnt that it was later removed by the sergeant-at-arms, in order to avoid damage.
