Relief was brought to identified victims of the recent tanker fire incidents at Iyana-Ipaja and Idimu areas of Lagos Tuesday, when the Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, presented cheques to the. The 243 identified victims were handed cheques of various amounts according to how they have been categorised by the government. The amount given to the victims include N100,000, N150,000
and N500,000, while five tricycle operators got N50,000 each. Governor Ambode, who was represented by his Deputy, Dr. Oluranti Adebule at the cheque distribution event held at the Igando Rehabilitation Centre, Igando, urged the beneficiaries to utilise the government’s "widow’s mite" very well and return home to rehabilitate themselves as much as they could.
