Rivers No Longer Owing Salaries – Wike

The Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, said on Thursday 16 July 2015 that his administration had paid outstanding salaries left by the immediate past administration. Wike, who made this remark while swearing in the new Head of Service of the state, Mr. Rufus Godwins, explained that civil servants in the state had received their salaries up to date.
He pointed out that the time had come for fresh blood to be injected into the State Civil Service, in order to make it more productive with the capacity to contribute effectively to the development of the state.
