Four Tips To Help Quieten your Personal Computer

Hardware devices like processors, graphic cards, and motherboard can cause your computers to give off noise and heat, especially when it works for long hours. If the buzzing sound from the system becomes a regular phenomenon, it can be a nuisance. To help you get some peace and quiet, Jovago.com, Africa’s No 1 hotel booking portal rolls out four tips on how to hush a loud personal computer.

  • Improve your cooling system
The cooling system maintains your computer’s temperature. Without it, your hardware devices will be destroyed. The first step is to improve the capacity of your cooling system for maximum fan performance. To do this, unscrew the machine to remove dust and brush the insides gently. Alternatively, you can use a dust filter if you are in an area where there is high flow of musty air.
  • Increase fan capabilities
Fans that come with some PC’s are cheap and cannot perform optimally and this may result in noisy personal machine.  A way to minimize the noise is to replace the fan or upgrade it. Using a high capacity fan can supply air to the whole system and the graphics card as well.
  • Cable Management
Your computer can’t function without cables running from one adapter to another. This can, however, leave your system untidy. If adjustments are not made to the cable, it can end up blocking the fan. Thus, preventing air from properly circulating.
  • Acoustic Foam
The function of this foam is to eliminate any sound emerging from your system.  If applied to the insides of your case, it will keep the noise level down. If you want absolute silence, buying an acoustic foam is highly recommended.
