Two-Year-Old Boy Stolen In Enugu

The police in Enugu have launched an investigation on the disappearance of a two-year-old boy, Chinemere Nkwegu. The incident took place on July 30, 2015 at his parents’ residence in Umumba Ndiagu, in Ezeagu Local Government Area of Enugu State. It was gathered that the baby got missing when his mother left him on the balcony to get water she would use to bathe him. The mother had just finished feeding the baby when she left him to get the water. Unfortunately, when she returned
some moments later with warm water, little Chinemere had disappeared. Aggrieved and devastated, the parents, Mr. and Mrs Emmanuel Nkwegu, searched frantically for their son, but they could not find him. The incident occurred at about 3pm before the couple eventually reported the development to the police. The troubled parents, however, pleaded with anybody in possession of the baby to return him. Spokesman of the Enugu State Police Command, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, who confirmed the development, said investigations had commenced in a bid to recover the baby. Amaraizu said those behind the little boy’s disappearance would not escape justice.
