7 Die, 5 Injured As Building Collapses On Pupils In Jos

Seven died and five others injured as a storey building collapsed last night in a Islamic school along Gero road, Bukuru, Jos. The building collapsed as they were receiving Islamic lectures in the evening. The name of the school was given as Abu Naib Islamic School. According to the Zonal
Coordinator, North Central of the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, Mohammed Abdulsalam, rescue team of the agency arrived the scene and recovered seven bodies, while five people were rescued but with severe injuries. Eyewitnesses said more deaths would have been recorded, but it was raining that Sunday evening, which made a lot of pupils absent from class.
