Father, 40 Remanded In Prison Custody For Allegedly Inserting His Finger Into The Private Part Of His 7-Year-Old Daughter

A Lagos State Magistrate Court sitting in Ogba in the Ikeja Magisterial District of the state has remanded a 40 –year-old-man, Emeka Oguzie for allegedly inserting his finger into the private part of his 7-year-old daughter (names with held). According to the prosecution, the suspect committed the alleged offence at Suite 37, Ojokoro Housing Estate, Meiran in the Ikeja Magisterial District. The two
count charge prepared against the defendant read: “That you Emeka Okuzie, sometime in September 2015, did, unlawfully and indecently, deal with one (names with held) 7-year-old by fingering her and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 135 (1 and 2) of the Criminal Law II,Vol 44 Laws of Lagos State Nigeria, 2011. The prosecution further alleged that the defendant conducted himself in a manner likely to cause breach of the peace in the area. His plea was not taken.
