Magistrate, Mrs Victoria Bob-manuel, sentenced the accused to five years imprisonment for the two-count charge of rape and assault.The magistrate said, “Having admitted and found guilty of two
offences, the accused is here by sentenced to five years’ imprisonment for unlawful carnal knowledge of the girl; and two years’ imprisonment for indecent assault without an option of fine with hard labour and the sentences are to run concurrently.''Abel had reportedly lured the girl into his security room and raped her three times, between September and October 2015.The offences are punishable under sections 218 and 360 of the Criminal Cap 37 Volume.1 Laws of Ondo State of Nigeria, 2006.
