Lecturers of the University of Jos have begun an indefinite strike to press home their demands for improved working conditions. The lecturers, in a statement by F.C. Piwuna, the chairman of the
university’s chapter of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, on Friday in Jos, said the union’s National Executive Council, had approved the action.“The NEC of ASUU has approved our request
for total, indefinite and comprehensive strike starting immediately. It means that all activities – teaching, supervision, examination as well as statutory and ad-hoc committee meetings have been suspended,” Mr. Piwuna, said. Not s cool on the students sides.
