The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Muhammadu Buhari has scrapped Subsidy Reinvestment and Empowerment Programme (SURE-P) given 30 November to wind down its
activities. This was made known today, November 4, 2015.The president directed the panel in charged with the task to complete winding down the operations of SURE-P by November 30 and
submit a comprehensive report of its activities to The Presidency. Buhari also ordered a probe into their activities, funding and expenditure. These were contained in a letter delivered to the SURE-P Committee by the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
