Arms probe: Metuh Arraigned For Destroying Evidence

A Federal Capital Territory High Court in Maitama, Abuja, again on Thursday ordered the remand of the National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Olisa Metuh, over two counts
of destruction of evidence and mischief preferred against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. The EFCC accused Metuh, in the fresh charges filed against him before the Chief Judge of the FCT High Court, Justice Ishaq Bello, that he destroyed his statement, which he made under
caution to the operatives and investigators of the EFCC on January 5, 2016, while in custody. Metuh is already on remand in prison by an order of Justice Okon Abang of a Federal High Court in Abuja with respect to charges of money laundering, involving N400m, part of funds meant for the procurement of arms.He was alleged to have collected the money from the Office of the National Security Adviser in November, 2014.
