18-Yr-Old Boy In Court For Stealing A baby In Ogun State

An 18-year-old Boy was yesterday charged before an Ota Magistrate’s Court in Ogun State, for allegedly stealing a baby,  Segun, 18, who lives at 7, Owolabi Street, Iyana-Ilogbo, Ota, is facing a
one-count charge of stealing a baby. The prosecutor, Itaita Ebibomino, told the court that the accused committed the offences on February 25 at about 5p.m. at Oko-Agi Area, Ota. He said that the accused
stole a baby, Aluko Faith, belonging to Aluko Kehinde. The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the one-count charge preferred against him. The Chief Magistrate, Mrs Funke Odubanjo, granted N200,000 bail to the accused with responsible sureties in like sum. She said that the sureties should be resident within the court’s jurisdiction and should be gainfully employed. Odubanjo also directed that one of the sureties should be a guardian or parent of the accused, while others should produce one year tax clearance from Ogun State Government. In addition, the sureties should submit four recent passport photographs to the court and the addresses of the sureties should be verified and the case adjourned till April 29 for hearing.
