The Federal Government has appointed six chief executive officers for parastatals under the Ministry of Information and Culture.The appointments were announced in Abuja on Wednesday by the
Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed. Mr. Ishaq Kawu was appointed as the new Director-General of the Nigerian Broadcasting Commission while Mr. Mansur Liman was
appointed as the Director-General, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria .This is contained in a statement issued by the Special Adviser to the Minister of Information and Culture, Segun Adeyemi, on Wednesday, Mr. Yakubu Mohammed , was also announced as the new Director-General, Nigerian Television Authority.Dr. Garba Abari was appointed as the new Director-General, National Orientation Agency while Mr. Bayo Onanuga is the new Managing Director of the News Agency of Nigeria.Also appointed was Mr. Osita Okechukwu as the Director-General, Voice of Nigeria .“The new appointees replace the chief executives of the parastatals, who were disengaged on Feb. 15, 2016. The appointments take immediate effect,” the statement noted.
