Kano State Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has sacked the state’s Accountant General, Dr. Danjuma Adamu, of his duties with immediate effect. A statement signed by the Commissioner for
Information, Malam Muhammad Garba gave no reason over his sack but it might not be unconnected with what Ganduje once described as “fine tuning” his administration. Danjuma Adamu was one of
key figures inherited by Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje from his estranged former boss, Engineer Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. The statement further directed Dr. Danjuma Adamu to hand over to the Director Treasury in the Ministry of Finance, Ibrahim A. M. Kura, as the most senior is pending the appointment of a substantive Accountant General for the state. Governor Ganduje thanked the outgoing Accountant General for the services he rendered to the State and wished him God’s guidance in his future endeavors.
