The Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, on Wednesday said he was seeking God’s directive and leading on whether to seek re-election in 2019 or not.The governor said this when a group of youths
from the three senatorial districts of the state marched to the Government House, Makurdi to express solidarity with the governor and the Government of Benue State over the anti-open grazing law. They urged him to seek re-election in 2019.Responding, the governor, who quoted a portion of the Holy Bible, said, “A man shall receive nothing, except it is given to him from above.”Ortom added that he would seek God’s face and once divine approval was given, he would contest and win.
