Social Media has played and still playing an important role in the disseminating of information, selling goods and services to the public. It is one of the fastest ways of selling out information compared to traditional means of communication such as radio, television, newspaper, magazine, and etc. Although, one needs to know how to use it effectively.
A scenario of what occurred at Access Bank of Nigeria on Saturday, 27th June, 2020. Stamp duty deductions were applied to all customers both savings and current accounts with respect to electronic transfer and teller deposits of N10,000 and above. However, some customers took to their social media to express their dissatisfaction. In less than 24 hours, Access Bank of Nigeria released a statement, promising to pay the stamp duty on their customers' behalf.
