Police Gets First Female Spokesperson

The Inspector-General of Police, Mr Solomon Arase, has approved the appointment of Acting ACP, Olabisi Kolawole, as the new Force Public Relations Officer. This is contained in a statement issued in the office of the Deputy Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Abayomi Shogunle, in Abuja today August 28, 2015. Kolawole is the first female police officer to be appointed as National Police
spokesperson. The statement said that the appointment was geared toward harnessing the enormous potentials among Nigerian female Police officers. She replaced CP Emmanuel Ojukwu, who is now the Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Command.
