An Assistant Director of Nigerian Maritime Safety and Administration Agency, NIMASA, Mrs. Olamide Odusanya, yesterday told a Lagos High Court sitting at Igbosere of how the ex-NIMASA
Director-General, Patrick Akpobolokemi, authorised that the agency should be credited with N498.2 millon from where it was disbursed to some of the defendants. Odusanya, who is a prosecution
witness of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, in the ongoing trial of Akpolobokemi and six others, maintained that there were no financial transactions that took place without the approval of Akpobolokemi. Akpobolokemi is being tried alongside six others over alleged theft of N754.7 million, belonging to NIMASA.
