Gowon To Deliver Lecture At Chukwuemeka Ojukwu University

The former military head of state, General Yakubu Gowon will on March 25 deliver a lecture with the theme: “No Victor, No Vanquished: Healing the Nigerian Nation” to mark the 6th convocation ceremony of the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), at the Igbariam campus of the university. Speaking on the forthcoming event, Chairperson of the women association of the university, Dr. Sylvia Okonkwo said the convocation lecture would further help to strengthen the unity of Nigeria and enhance equal opportunities for political participation and leadership of the nation as well as the confidence of the Igbo, in particular, on national unity.
She thanked the organisers of the 6th convocation and the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Fidelis Uzochukwu Okafor for the choice of the convocation lecture.
