Former Gov. Of Adamawa State, Nyako Returns To Nigeria Today

Former Governor of Adamawa State, Admiral Murtal Nyako (retd.), is returning to Nigeria today(Saturday). Nyako is coming from London and his flight, Lufthansa Airline, is expected to land in Abuja this evening. One of his political aides, who spoke with our correspondent on condition of anonymity, said Nyako decided to return following the installation of Muhammadu Buhari as the President. Nyako left the country hurriedly following his impeachment from office by the state
lawmakers. His impeachment, which he is still contesting in court, came as a result of the disagreement he had with former President Goodluck Jonathan. The former naval officer had accused the then President of having hands in Boko Haram. He also wrote a lengthy letter  to the former President, accusing him of being anti-people. Nyako was among the five governors that defected from the Peoples Democratic Party to  the All Progressives Congress. The former governor was declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission over allegations of financial crimes.
