FRUSTRATED: School Dropout Destroys Father’s Car

The car above is not the car that was destroy. A19-year-old school dropout, Preye Egbon, has pounced on his father’s rickety car with a hammer to protest the decision of his uncle, Mr. Enakaya Egbon, to restrain him from selling the car to a scavenger. It was gathered that the incident occurred recently at Mr. Egbon’s residence on Erhue Close, Oghara, Delta State. Preye’s father, Mr. Austin Egbon, had abandoned the Volvo 40L car over two years ago after he ran out of money to repair the many faults besetting the car. It was gathered that Preye, who is an apprentice of Electrical
Engineering, returned from the workshop with a scavenger at the wee hours of the day and they began to evaluate the monetary worth of the car. Preye, it was reported, had insisted on selling the car for N20, 000 but the scavenger was only willing to pay N 15,000. As the haggling continued, Preye’s uncle, Mr. Enakaya, who also resides in the compound, accost them and ordered the scavenger to leave the premises immediately. He was also said to have rained verbal abuses on Preye, accusing him of lacking clear vision and good plans for his life. The young simply took his anger out on the dilapidated car.
