Police Allegedly Arrest A Businessman For Robbing A Sex Worker In Lagos


A businessman  in Lagos has been arrested by the Nigeria police for robbing a sex worker in Lagos Arinze Nnachi is a  35-year-old businessman, who rob a sex worker, Patience Sunday. The incident happened at a hotel on Borno Way, Ebute Meta, Lagos State. It was gathered that Nnachi met Sunday at a hotel on May 19, and agreed to pay her N5,500 for a night. Sunday told police detectives that the suspect paid her N2,000 instead of the agreed sum. There was a disagreement between the duo and
the suspect allegedly beat up Sunday. He was also alleged to have stolen her handset, estimated at N45,000. Nnachi was arraigned before an Ebute Meta Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday on two counts of assault and stealing. The charges read in part, “That you, Arize Nnachi, on May 19, 2015, at about 4am on Borno Way, Ebute Meta, Lagos, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did unlawfully assault one Patience Sunday by beating her up and hitting her with blows. The police prosecutor, Inspector Asu Feddy, said the offences were punishable under sections 172 and 285 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2011. Nnachi pleaded not guilty. The magistrate, E.O. Ogunkanmi, admitted him to bail in the sum of N20, 000.
